Monk Gyatso: This episode had lots of action and humor, but there is a
lesson to learn in there: patience in
waiting and listening. I think it was
strange the way the king did not resist the fire nation.
But it is a truth that when we are faced with
difficulties, challenges or questions it is sometimes best to let time reveal
what might be the best thing to do, before we act too quickly.
Fear or anger move us to make decisions too
quickly (although sometimes we need to act while windows of time and
opportunity are open), and it can be best to let a little time pass, listen,
and wait for the proper answer to present itself.
It barely comes across in this episode, and
we don’t see any positive results by doing so, but it is good advice to give
and receive.
(Plus I totally love the penta-pox idea!)
