Avatar: The Last AirBender

So, we happened upon this cartoon series in 2012, and decided to try it out as a family.  We were delighted to find a well-developed world of fun characters, exciting action, humor that isn’t bodily-based, and situations that explored some topics worth discussing as a family.

As we discussed each episode, we started taking notes.  Mostly dad was taking notes (Monk Gyatso), but the kids had many insights and are learning to look closely at media and pull out lessons, so they will now be writing more.

Naturally, these will be aimed at an age range of like 6-15.  But true principles can resonate with us regardless of age and situation.

So, here is the project:
We have a viewing schedule that runs from November to August.  Each week we write about what we see and think.  Sometimes this is one episode, sometimes more.
We will reverse-date our posts so that someone coming to this site will see the pages in order like a book, rather than the most recent first.
We are as follows:
Monk Gyatso (dad)
Panzerfaust (boy 10 yrs old)
Pirate Capn (boy 8 yrs old)
EllaBella (girl 7 yrs old)
Pinky Pie (girl 4 yrs old)
